The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, considered that in the face of the attacks of the North American empire against Latin America and the Caribbean, “we have to work together, to strengthen and protect ourselves.”
In this regard, he said that “unfortunately, we see that some decisions have been taken in North America to step back in a better understanding of our countries.”
However, this scenario, Gonsalves emphasized that “always for better or for worse, we will coexist. It is also likely that we will continue to face difficulties.”
He stressed that sovereign States must adopt multiple and simultaneous strategies that allow them to build cooperation mechanisms based on solidarity, with the objective of strengthening and protecting the fundamental interests of their Peoples.
This was expressed at the event led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, of the XIII Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America — Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), via videoconference, in which all threats to Latin American Peoples are addressed.
He also stressed that in his opinion, peace is weakened in the world, “we see that world peace is very tenuous”.
“Let's hope that our wisdom, understanding and understanding will determine the judgment to go in the interests of our Peoples,” he stressed.
