Prosecutor Saab held a day of street justice in Petare

The Attorney General of the Republic, Ta rek William Saab, announced that care was provided to a total of 373 people during the last operation carried out in Caracas within the framework of the program “The Public Ministry Responds to Your Complaint in the Parish”.

The head of the Public Ministry pointed out the importance of direct contact between the institution's officials and citizens.

“Among the people treated, 162 were deprived of their liberty; in addition to 27 complaints were received related to injuries, disturbance, invasion, fraud, animal abuse, improper access and misappropriation,” said the Public Ministry authority.

William Saab, added that 156 guidelines were also made, broken down into 81 cases that are not criminal in nature, 42 references to other bodies and 33 problems of neighborhood coexistence, and 26 requests for expedited cases and two requests for social assistance were received.

“For this operation, a total of 75 officials from the Public Ministry were deployed; including nine general directors, 33 line managers, 32 prosecutors from the Metropolitan Area of Caracas and the Superior Attorney of the jurisdiction,” he said.
