In a statement, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) celebrated the 45th anniversary of the struggles of the Workers' Party (PT) of Brazil, and extended its congratulations to its authorities, claiming the organization as a strength of the working class and a pillar of popular unity and its commitment to the people.

In this sense, in the text shared on the PSUV website, the political organization highlighted that the PT born from the heart of the struggle of the working class “has demonstrated that popular organization and unity are the most powerful tools to face the onslaught of savage capitalism, of the coup and of those who seek to subjugate our peoples under the yoke of exploitation and dependence.”

In addition, the PSUV reaffirmed the importance of unity between the two revolutionary forces, for the consolidation of a multipolar world and in defense of the dignity, sovereignty and emancipation of the population.

45 YEARS OF THE PT'S STRUGGLE: STRENGTH OF THE WORKING CLASS AND A PILLAR OF POPULAR UNITY

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), on behalf of the president of the Party Nicolás Maduro Moros, Secretary General Diosdado Cabello Rondón, its militancy and the heroic Venezuelan people, expresses its most fraternal and combative congratulations to the militancy and leadership of the Workers' Party (PT) on the occasion of commemorating its 45th anniversary of founding, struggle and commitment to the popular cause.

The PT was born from the very heart of workers', peasant and popular struggles, emerging as a force capable of challenging the domination of the elites and opening paths of hope for those who support the development of Brazil with their efforts.

Its history is marked by resistance to oppression, by the conquest of rights and by the determination to build a more just society, where power is at the service of the people and not of the interests of privileged minorities. They have demonstrated that popular organization and unity are the most powerful tools to face the onslaught of savage capitalism, of the coup and of those who seek to subjugate our peoples under the yoke of exploitation and dependence.

From Venezuela, the land of El Libertador Simón Bolívar and Commander Hugo Chávez, we vindicate the historic role of workers in social transformation and reaffirm our commitment to the defense of their rights, their leading role in political life and their central role in building a future of equity and well-being for all. The struggle we are waging is not only for the present, but for future generations, for the consolidation of a model of sovereign development that breaks with the logic of exclusion imposed by capital and vindicates the dignity of those who, with their efforts, make our nations move forward.

We are convinced that unity between our revolutionary forces is key to the consolidation of a multipolar world, and we reiterate our commitment to continue walking together in defense of the dignity, sovereignty and emancipation of our peoples.

Long live the Workers' Party of Brazil!

Long live the friendship between the Peoples of Brazil and Venezuela!
