Public and private banks hold a working table to unify criteria in the valuation of loans

The Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, Banking, Insurance and Securities and President of the Treasury Bank, Jimmy Berríos, led a working group to unify the criteria for financial valuation and analysis, between public and private banks, of the special Social Credit program for Housing Restitution, through the Venezuela Renace Plan, an initiative designed to support families who lost their homes , after the double earthquake that occurred last June 24.
The meeting was attended by Pedro Pacheco, president of the Venezuelan Banking Association (ABV) and representatives of private banking: Banesco, Banco Nacional de Crédito, Provincial and Mercantil.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Berríos explained that the credit is aimed at those who have their buildings collapsed. The process will be divided into two phases: the first, where beneficiaries must comply with the requirements to determine their capacity to pay, financial evaluation necessary to obtain the pre-approval certificate with the selected bank, with which they will proceed to the second phase, where they must go to the secondary market to locate the property of their choice, formalize the application and, once the documents have been validated, they are filed with the competent bodies, press release from the Treasury Bank.
Berríos, emphasized that the various cases will be followed up to guarantee resources. “I'm going to ask them to be immediate, quick, in each case to take care of the affected families. We have to review everything, we, we are going to be here, to help them,” he said.
For his part, the executive president of the Venezuelan Banking Association (ABV), Pedro Pacheco, confirmed his commitment to support the social policies of the Bolivarian Government to serve those affected. He called not to resort to managers: “We must spread the word that the process is simple and transparent for the buyer.”
With this initiative, promoted by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, it seeks to facilitate the restitution and acquisition of real estate for vulnerable families. Work tables will be held weekly to evaluate progress and accelerate the processing of requests. It is important to note that, with the inclusion of these four private banks, there are now seven financial institutions: Banco de Venezuela, Banco del Tesoro, Banco del Tesoro, Banco Nacional de Crédito, Banesco, Banco Mercantil and Banco Provincial, which join the Special Social Credit Program for Housing Restitution.
