Public authorities were notified of the installation of the AN for the period 2025-2026

Deputies to the National Assembly went, this Tuesday, to the citizen and electoral powers to notify them of the installation of the Legislative Branch for the 2025-2026 session.

Deputy Guiseppe Alessandrello was the one who headed the parliamentary delegation that attended the National Electoral Council (CNE). There he was received by the president of the CNE, Elvis Amoroso.

“It is an honor for us today, January 7, 2025, to be complying with this constitutional act established by our Magna Carta in relation to the appointment of the board of directors of the National Assembly, of the Legislative Branch, and the notification as established by legal regulations and the Internal and Debate Regulations of the National Assembly,” said Amoroso.

For his part, Deputy Alessandrello stressed that they came to “formally report the installation of the National Assembly and the beginning of the sessions corresponding to the year 2025-2026, and the formation of the board of directors of that National Assembly.”

Meanwhile, the deputy Pedro Carreño was in charge of heading the legislative commission that went to the Citizens Power to notify the start of the new session. The Attorney General of the Republic, and president of the Republican Moral Council, Tarek William Saab, was in charge of receiving the deputies.

Saab described this solemn act as extremely important and that “it gives us a clear sign of the articulation that exists between the powers of the Venezuelan State, the institutional unity of the national Public Powers, all framed in the provisions of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which was approved in a popular referendum in December 1999.”
