Public Ministry and Supreme Court strengthen strategies to optimize the criminal justice system in the country

In order to ensure timely responses to citizens, authorities from the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and the Public Ministry (MP) held an inter-institutional working meeting to coordinate joint strategies.

The meeting held in the Telematics Hall of the Supreme Court, was led by the president of the Judiciary, Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez Rodríguez, and the Attorney General of the Republic, Larry Devoe Márquez, according to the Supreme Court on his Instagram account.

During the day, both authorities evaluated proposals aimed at achieving faster, more effective management in compliance with the law, consolidating the criminal justice system, guaranteeing due process for citizens and safeguarding the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The activity also included the participation of Carmen Marisela Castro Gilly, president of the Criminal Cassation Chamber; Grisell López Quintero and Eulalia Coromoto Guerrero Rivero, vice-president and member of that Chamber, respectively; and Lourdes Suárez Anderson, vice-president of the Constitutional Chamber and coordinator of the National Commission on Gender Justice of the Judiciary.

With this strategic articulation, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continue promoting coordinated work mechanisms that contribute to procedural speed, transparency and efficient attention to the requests of the Venezuelan people in legal matters.
