The Attorney General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, announced this Friday that the Public Ministry (MP) will soon summon the former candidate of the extreme right, Edmundo González Urrutia, to testify about his participation in destabilizing and fraudulent actions before, during and after the elections of last July 28.

“In the next few hours, citizen Edmundo González Urrutia will be summoned by this Public Prosecutor's Office based on the ongoing investigation so that he can make statements about his authorship, where he declares himself responsible for the page that he has usurped, nothing more and nothing less, than the quality and competence that only corresponds to the Venezuelan Electoral Power,” said William Saab in statements to the media.

He pointed out that the representative of extremism “is going to have to respond, he's going to have to come. The Public Prosecutor's Office is competent to summon those initiated in an ongoing investigation to advance the investigations.” He said that he will soon announce the time and place of the summons.

He reiterated that he must attend the Public Prosecutor's Office “to talk in a sequential and successive manner about his responsibility before July 28, during July 28 and after July 28 for his disobedience to the legitimately constituted authorities.”
