This Thursday, a march began in Mamera, Antímano Parish in Caracas, in support of the activation of the Governing Body for Integral Defense (ODDI) at the national level.

The day brings together community representatives, grassroots spokespersons and residents from various sectors.

During the march, community leader Maritza Granados stated that the call responds to instructions from the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. He emphasized that the popular demonstration extends to communities committed to the defense of sovereignty.

“It is the responsibility of the Venezuelan people to permanently guarantee and maintain their sovereignty and independence,” he said.

Granados also highlighted the presence of organized Popular Power, stressing that the mobilization reflects political conviction and territorial participation.

For her part, street leader Mariam Jiménez argued that comprehensive defense is based on peace and the unity of Venezuelans. “No foreigner will be allowed to set foot on Venezuelan soil,” he said. He recalled that two centuries ago, Venezuela did not cross its borders to oppress, but to liberate, and that the self-determination of peoples is a valid principle.

Fabián Hidalgo, spokesman for the South-South Commune, emphasized that sectors of the international and national right do not recognize that Venezuela lives in democracy. He affirmed that the country does not submit to empires, but works with commitment, guided by the Bolivarian ideals promoted by Commander Hugo Chávez and promoted by President Maduro.
