The airline Qatar Airways confirmed that it will expand its operations in the Americas with the launch of new routes to Venezuela and Colombia, which will formally begin operating on July 22, 2026.

The announcement published on the airline's website represents a historic milestone for aviation in the region, as Qatar Airways becomes the first airline in the Gulf to serve Venezuela and the first to operate direct flights from the Middle East to Caracas and Bogotá.

The airline will operate two weekly flights to Caracas (CCS) and Bogotá (BOG), reinforcing connectivity to and from the Americas.

The itinerary has been designed to provide smooth connections through Hamad International Airport (Doha) to key markets such as Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

The flights will operate every Wednesday and Sunday under the following scheme:

Doha (DOH) to Bogota (BOG): Departure 07:30; arrival 16:05.

Bogota (BOG) to Caracas (CCS): Departure 17:35; arrival 20:40.

Caracas (CCS) to Doha (DOH): Departure 22:40; arrival 19:55 (+1 day).

With the addition of both nations, the airline has 16 destinations in the Americas. Qatar Airways' foray into South America began in 2010 with its first flight to São Paulo, Brazil.

The company said it is continuing to rebuild its global network to reach more than 160 destinations this summer. Interested users can make their reservations through the official qatarairways.com portal or through their mobile application.
