Rander Peña: China guarantees a multipolar and multicentric world

“If something is good for humanity, it is to guarantee a multipolar and multicentric world, in which shared powers can generate sufficient balance to guarantee supreme happiness to the Peoples, and I think that we are going to move forward with China,” said the vice-president of International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Rander Peña.

The proposal was made at the 1st Working Meeting of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean, held in the People's Republic of China, and where a delegation from the PSUV participated.

“The United Socialist Party of Venezuela, on behalf of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the party's militancy and on behalf of the Venezuelan people, have come here because we have been consistent with the principles that we profess and share with China,” said the vice-minister for Latin America, in an interview with the National Television of that country.

Peña explained that, in Venezuela, the Bolivarian principles of 200 years ago are being practiced, when the Liberator Simon Bolivar spoke of the balance of the universe, and that he exemplified this genuine multipolar, multicentric scheme to achieve the greatest possible amount of happiness and political stability.

“That is why we are here, because we understand the coherence that is only possible for the multipolar and multicentric world if we come together and China, undoubtedly, we have said it in all spaces, is a guarantee that this can happen and we will approach that multipolar world,” he said.

He commented that progressive left-wing political parties in Latin America share common principles with China, as well as facing common challenges, and the Asian giant has been a proponent of this political concept of a shared multicentric world for the future of all.

“We believe that it is a valid and important concept and, in addition, necessary to guarantee the survival of the human species,” he said.

He argued that Venezuela “firmly welcomes it, so much so that one of the main elements of the PSUV, which we have incorporated from the thinking of President Xi Jinping, is in the formation schemes of our militancy.”

He compared the example of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which, with more than 96 million members in its ranks, pushes towards a shared and common direction, which speaks very well of what this legendary party has done.

He specified that the agreements between both parties, the PSUV and the PCCH, have exchanged experiences and sealed commitment to building the immediate and strategic future between both organizations.

“Venezuela is very clear about its objectives and priorities, and one of them is to strengthen relations with China and the CCP, for one simple reason: you have taught us how far human capacity and innovation can go. And we believe that the path that China has traveled, with its peculiarities, can be taken with the peculiarities of each country, in favor of our Peoples,” he said.

“This is where we are going, we believe that it is the right thing and the best decision for us to be able to guarantee happiness to each country and to each people,” he remarked.
