Registrations are closed for XIX National Student Games

The general director of the XIX National Student Games, Alejandro Herrera, reported that all 25 states of the country made the final registration of the participants in the national multi-sports event.
Herrera's statements came during a meeting, held in the Francisco Rodríguez room of the National Sports Institute, with the presence of the Minister of Sport, Franklin Cardillo, the presidents of regional athletic institutes and foundations and the chairs of the commissions of the organizing committee of the competition.
“We ratify the registration of the 25 federal entities of Venezuela, including Guiana Essequiba, of which we report, so far, about 7,000 registered people, including student athletes, guides, coaches, technicians and others who will participate in the Games,” Herrera said.
He added that “some details remain to be adjusted in relation to the state of Mérida due to the environmental factors that affect them; however, we are convinced that it will be an extraordinary sporting event.”
The national athletic competition will run from August 1 to 16 in the states of Lara, Falcón and Yaracuy, and includes 20 sports disciplines, divided into one Paralympic, two deaf Olympic, 11 Olympic and five non-Olympic sports.
