Revolutionary Government inaugurated Plant Genetic Improvement Laboratory in Miranda

This Wednesday, during a
contact with President Nicolás Maduro, through the State channel,
Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Plant
Genetic Improvement Laboratory of the Agricultural Biotechnology Center was inaugurated.
In this regard, the Head of
State specified that “plants are already being planted and created in order to
enrich the natural genetic strength of our agricultural development, an agricultural development with a
scientific vision of the 21st century at the highest level that
can be known”.
The laboratory has
five specific areas; preparation of culture media, multiplication, seeding
and propagation of material in vitro and one for growth, “which has the specific
conditions of temperature lights and humidity control for
efficient plant growth and development”.
The place is
committed to contributing to and strengthening national agricultural production, as
well as contributing to technological independence, security and food
sovereignty.
