Rising the national tricolor in the Pantheon kicked off events commemorating the Day of Indigenous Resistance

This Saturday, October 12, the commemoration of the Day of Indigenous Resistance began with the presentation of the Venezuelan flag by the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, to cadets from the Bolivarian Military University; to be hoisted in the National Pantheon.
The national tricolor was raised accompanied by the national anthem in the Kariña language by members of this original ancient people.
Subsequently, the symbolic remains of the cacique Guaicaipura were transferred to the main altar where the mortal remains of the Father of the Fatherland Simón Bolívar rest, in addition to the making of floral offerings by the authorities.
Cabello and Vidal proceeded to place a Wiphala Flag on the Liberator's sarcophagus. Later, members of indigenous communities honored them with ancient dances in honor of the greatest hero to be born in America.
The ceremony was attended by several authorities from the Bolivarian High Government.
