Risk Management activated in the face of heavy rainfall in Lara

Faced with the effects caused by heavy rains in the state of Lara, the governor of the state, Adolfo Pereira, reported that four municipalities were affected by these hydrometeorological incidents.
During the radio program Actives with Adolfo, together with the regional director of Civil Protection and Disaster Management, Luis Mujica, who indicated that Risk Management agencies remain active to address the situation.
Mujica specified that the recent hurricanes in the Caribbean Sea have generated “heavy rainfall, gusts of wind, which is why we have activated the entire Risk Management team, Fire Department, Public Safety Agencies and Public Works Secretariat, since October 3, which were the first incidents with 59 fallen trees in a large part of the city,” said a note from the Government of Lara.
In this context, the Secretary for Public Works, Services and Housing, Omar Rondón, stressed that the regional government team focuses on mobilizing machinery and delivering aid in affected areas.
“One thousand 135 sheets of roofs have been delivered to 82 affected families, 3 thousand 200 blocks, 1 thousand 500 zunchos, this to benefit 331 people who are part of the 82 affected families. Today we are doing the census again and we will continue to do so to continue serving everyone,” he said.
Finally, he commented that on the Lara-Zulia highway, Civil Protection and Public Works Secretariat were activated to clear roads, where there were three damages, but that the road has already been cleared.
