On January 16, 1987, the city of Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia, saw the birth of the distinguished revolutionary Robert Serra, but it was the parish of La Pastora, which welcomed him upon his arrival in the Capital City, where he forged his political career with courage, cunning and great humanist spirit.

Rebel, fighter, accelerated, enthusiastic, revolutionary, were the words that characterized this young traveler of the Venezuelan people, who at 27 years old was already part of the history of the Homeland as an example for the new generations who have chosen politics as their lifestyle.

A lawyer graduated from the Andrés Bello Catholic University, Robert Serra was the youngest deputy in the entire history of the National Assembly (AN) and, in 2007, he was delegated by the Government to articulate the birth of the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV).

As a tribute, in 2014, the Bolivarian Government granted the name Robert Serra to the Youth Mission of the Homeland, a state program aimed at the creative, cultural and socio-productive formation of the country's young people.

Serra died on October 1, 2014, when a group of paramilitaries took this faithful defender of the legacy of the Eternal Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez.

Despite the pretensions of the national and international right, Robert remains in the memory of revolutionaries and the Venezuelan people, who saw him touring popular areas, serving those most in need and carrying out his enthusiastic and fiery discourse in favor of social justice.

This is how he is recognized for his fight for the rights of youth and stands out among revolutionaries for his ability to work in building a just and supportive society at the service of the people.
