The Minister of Popular Power for Petroleum, Delcy Rodríguez, from Carabobo state, led the launch of the National Petrochemical Revolutionary Patriotic Historical Bloc.

During the event, the vice-president highlighted the fundamental role of the organization of petrochemical workers in the construction of the new Venezuelan economic model.

“The backbone of the economy is the organization of workers who have been at the forefront of active resistance to the criminal blockade imposed from Washington with the support of Western countries,” said the executive vice president as well.

He agreed with the lines of the head of state that it is necessary to “diversify food the economy”, through the program of economic recovery, growth and prosperity, while adding that this plan “five or six years later gives a positive value”.

Rodríguez assured that the recovery of workers' wages is a fundamental factor for the national executive, as is the control of induced inflation.

In that sense, he lashed out at extremist right-wing representatives, specifically María Corina Machado, who continue to call for sanctions and blockade against Venezuela, to “then put on the voice of a dead mosquito and then what causes the tremendous damage in Venezuela (...) he makes videos of <<dear workers I am with you and now we are going to fight for Venezuela>>, after being dragged into the United States government every day he asks for sanctions and blockades against Venezuela, they are tremendous fakers”.
