This Thursday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov called the outgoing administration of the United States (USA) irresponsible after authorizing London to allow Kiev to use long-range Storm Shadow missiles, produced by the United Kingdom and France, in attacks against Russian territory.

“A new escalation is taking place. This is a very irresponsible position that the outgoing Administration (of US President Joe Biden) is taking,” said the spokesman.

Likewise, the Russian spokesman added that “they continue to add fuel to the fire to the Ukrainian conflict, preventing by all means at least some dynamic leading to its end and at the same time using Ukraine as an instrument in their hands in their war against the Russian Federation”

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense systems have neutralized two British-produced Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

In the same period of time, the Russian military managed to shoot down six US-produced HIMARS missiles and 67 unmanned aircraft-type aerial vehicles.

Bloomberg reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched British Storm Shadow cruise missiles for the first time against military targets in internationally recognized Russian territory.

The BBC reported on Wednesday that Storm Shadow missiles supplied by the United Kingdom have been used for the first time against targets inside Russia.
