Russia and Egypt carry out joint naval exercises

The Navy of the Russian Federation and the Egyptian Naval Forces concluded a joint exercise in the Mediterranean Sea, the press service of the Northern Fleet reported on Monday.
The “Friendship Bridge 2025” exercises, which involved the participation of a Russian Ka-27 naval helicopter, the frigate Admiral Golovko and the oil tanker Vyazma.
On the Egyptian side, the frigate Al Galala, the Fuad Zekri and Mahmoud Fahmy missile launchers, and F-16 combat aircraft, participated in the training.
The military exercise included stages on land and at sea. The first phase took place in the port of Alexandria, where crews from both countries held a series of briefings.
“The participants discussed the order and sequence of exercises, the formation of an international warship unit, joint maneuvers, the execution of artillery fire and a series of other elements of interaction,” said Hispantv.
It was also known that in coastal training, marines from the Russian Northern Fleet joined their Egyptian counterparts in live-fire exercises with standard weapons at a shooting range. The troops also tested procedures for inspecting ships.
