Russia, during the session of the Group of 20 (G20), guaranteed efforts for food security in developing countries, as reported by the spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry of the Eurasian nation, Maria Zakharova.
“The head of the Russian delegation, Sergey Lavrov, supported Brazil's initiative to create the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty, spoke of our country's efforts to ensure food security in developing countries,” Zajárava said.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Minister noted the important contribution of the BRICS group to solving global development problems, as well as drawing attention to “the neocolonial practices of the collective West, which hinder the establishment of truly equitable international cooperation”.
The G20 summit brings together the 20 largest economies in the world on November 18 and 19 at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro, according to a press release from the Sputnik news agency.
