The Kremlin spokesman, Dimitri Peskov, confirmed this Monday that Russia is in permanent contact with the president in charge of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, through the corresponding diplomatic channels, following the military aggression of the United States (USA) against the Bolivarian nation on January 3.
“We are in constant contact with the president in charge through diplomatic channels,” Peskov told the press.
In reference to possible direct communication between the presidents of both countries, he indicated that “Putin has no plans to hold in the coming days (a telephone conversation with Rodríguez), but if necessary, it can certainly be organized.”
From Moscow, they once again reiterated their rejection of the U.S. military aggression against Venezuela, which they described as illegal, and they ratified their defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Caribbean country.
