In the past two weeks, 12 attacks were repelled against Gazprom's gas plant facilities, which supply export supplies through the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the direction of Turkiye.
This Wednesday, the Russkaya compressor station, in the south of the Russian Federation, was attacked again by air, and previously there were attacks against the Beregovaya and Kazachia stations.
“In the last two weeks, since February 24, Gazprom facilities in southern Russia have been attacked 12 times. These facilities are part of the critical energy infrastructure and ensure the reliability of gas export supplies through the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines. All attacks are repelled,” the entity said.
In this context, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that from 20:47 GMT on March 10 to 02:08 GMT on March 11, in the airspace adjacent to Russkaya Station, four Ukrainian drones were shot down by Russian anti-aircraft missile troops.
Two drones were intercepted by combat aircraft, while mobile units neutralized three devices, including two directly above the compressor station. This Wednesday, one more drone was shot down over the plant, he said.
The agency also specified that “simultaneously with attempts to deactivate the Russkaya gas compression station, on the night of March 11, the Kiev regime carried out an attack using 14 aircraft-type attack drones against the Beregovaya compression station of the Blue Stream gas pipeline in the area of the city of Tuapsé”.
Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems prevented the incursion from causing damage to infrastructure.
