Russian spokesman denied conversation between Putin and Trump

This Monday, the presidential spokesman of the Russian Federation, Dmitri Peskov, declared that reports about an alleged telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and the American Donald Trump are false.

“This doesn't correspond to reality at all. It's pure fiction. It's just false information,” Peskov said.

Likewise, that “this is the clearest example of the quality of the information that is now published sometimes even in fairly reputable publications”.

The Washington Post previously reported, citing several people familiar with the matter, that Trump phoned Putin last Thursday for the first time after winning the elections.

According to the newspaper, they discussed the objective of establishing peace on the European continent and Trump expressed interest in holding follow-up talks for the “prompt resolution” of the conflict.
