This weekend, Margarita Island received a total of 551 Russian tourists, thanks to the reactivation of operations and air routes between the two nations, who seek to promote inbound tourism and consolidate the country as a globally recognized destination.

The efforts made by the Minister of Tourism, Leticia Gómez and representatives of Venezolana de Turismo (VENETUR) in the Eurasian country, culminated in the arrival of this new group of visitors who would enjoy the attractions of Nueva Esparta and other destinations.

The visitors arrived on a charter flight operated by the operator Pegas Touristik, and the rest of the visitors arrived at the island entity, on a flight of the state airline CONVIASA

The Bolivarian Government, through its tourism portfolio , is working to reactivate these air routes, and promote initiatives that not only seek to attract visitors, but also to guarantee a safe and enriching experience for each tourist, the press release from the ministerial portfolio reported.
