San Cristóbal premiered chapel in honor of San José Gregorio Hernández

In the municipality of San Cristóbal, Táchira state, the comprehensive rehabilitation of the chapel that bears the name of San José Gregorio Hernández was delivered. The intervention responded to the community's request and represents the recovery of a religious space of high spiritual value, which offers decent conditions for encounter, prayer and liturgical activities.
The rehabilitation work included the
complete reconstruction of the floor, roof, façade, walls and columns, in addition to the recovery
of the wastewater system.
Doors and seats were also restored, and heritage elements of the original furniture
were preserved. The structure
was expanded to improve ventilation and adapt the enclosure to the
current needs of parishioners.
The award was enthusiastically received by
the inhabitants of the Lourdes sectors, José Gregorio Hernández, Cristo Rey and
part of Barrio Obrero, who celebrated the recovery of a space for encounter and faith.
This rehabilitation is part of the actions promoted by the national Government in the area of social infrastructure, in coordination with the People's Power and regional authorities.
