The Autonomous Intellectual Property Service (SAPI), an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power of National Commerce, opened the short story contest “Tales from my land, aimed at all audiences, whose participants may submit a maximum of one work per author; an event that is part of the lines emanating from the Bolivarian Government and its great new generation missions to enhance the copyright of Venezuelans over their works.

The conditions of this call, which will end on Monday, August 26 at 4:00 p.m., state that it should be a short, original and unpublished story, which reflects Venezuelan values and culture through stories developed in emblematic places of the country, to contribute to national identity and encourage interest in reading.

The works will be sent to: [email protected] and [email protected] and the judging jury will be made up of the general director of the SAPI; directors of the substantive areas (Copyright, Trademarks, Patents and Protected Geographical Indications); and an expert in the editorial area, who will select the 15 best works, whose winners will receive a certificate of participation.

The first three places will receive prizes in cash or electronic devices. Once the 15 winning works have been selected, they will be compiled into a book that will be the first digital edition of the SAPI.
