Second edition of “La Vega becomes cinema” will take place from September 3 to 6

The parish of La Vega, in Caracas, will be the scene of the second edition of “La Vega becomes cinema”, which will take place from September 3 to 6 with a program aimed at promoting audiovisual creation from communities.

Organized by the Popular School of Audiovisual Production of Catia together with various cultural groups in the area, the meeting will offer four-day workshops, master classes, screenings, film forums, exhibitions and debates, open to neighbors, students, fans and community creators.

The proposal proposes cinema as a tool for learning, integration and critical reflection, while seeking to strengthen the capacity of communities to express their own stories and preserve their customs.

As part of this training, participants will also learn to produce audiovisual content with their cell phones, with the purpose of telling stories from the territory and contributing to the preservation of the cultural identity of La Vega.
