The Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) ratified this Thursday the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the re-election of Nicolás Maduro as president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the period 2025-2031.

In this regard, the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, celebrated the Venezuelan institutionality, while stating that it took on the challenge of “reassuring and giving confidence to the country.”

He specified that the decision of the highest court in Venezuela will be issued, for his information, to the different countries that make up the regional block, “and even to the social movements that live in ALBA.”

He specified that the countries of the Alliance “have followed the process very closely, we have been informing them (...) we believe that the Venezuelan Supreme Court has set an example and of course the judiciary of the ALBA countries will also be informed of this process that can guarantee peace, but rather be an example for other countries of the world.”

From the Electoral Chamber, the judiciary certified “in an unobjectionable way the expert electoral material”, and therefore “validates, this Chamber, the results of July 28, 2024 issued by the National Electoral Council where citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros was elected president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela”.
