The sector vice president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, announced this Friday that surveillance cameras will be installed in the state of Apure, starting with San Fernando, to continue providing security to the people.

During the activation of the Peace Quadrants in Apure, Cabello also delivered patrols and stated that they “belong to the People”, explaining that each quadrant must have two motorcycles and a patrol unit to ensure operational mobility.

Cabello stressed that the implementation scheme provides that, for every four quadrants, there must be a patrol, designated exclusively for their jurisdiction. “If it corresponds to quadrant one, it is for quadrant one. A San Fernando patrol has no function in Biruaca. Each unit must remain in its territory,” he said.

He specified that the units are not intended for police headquarters, but for communities. “That patrol has to be in their commune, it belongs to that town,” he said. He added that the state's governor has made a joint effort with the National Government and local governments to strengthen the operational capacity of the citizen security system.

In the same way, the sector vice president reported that each Peace Quadrant will have a telephone for direct communication through 911 and reiterated that mobility is essential to help residents and visitors. “As we have mobility, we can guarantee security to any Venezuelan and to anyone who comes from anywhere in the world,” he said.

As part of the equipment delivered to Apure, Cabello specified the incorporation of 45 vehicles and 362 motorcycles, in addition to 181 telephones destined for the quadrants.
