Sector Vice President Cabello: Today we are receiving 242 compatriots from Mexico

This Monday, February 24, the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported that, through the Plan Back to the Homeland, 242 new returnees from Mexico are returning today.

“Our flagship CONVIASA plane is landing returning from Mexico, it comes with a mission that has been tasked with bringing to our country a new group of Venezuelans who have decided to return (...) We are here ready to receive 242 Venezuelans,” he said from the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía.

He specified that women and children come for the first time on this flight. “A group of women is coming, a group of men is coming and boys, girls and teenagers are coming for the first time (...) 94 men, 75 young people and 74 women are coming, of varying ages,” she said.

He pointed out that although the protocols, in this case, will be different from the two previous flights, all the procedures that must be complied with will still be carried out and the necessary comprehensive care will be provided.

He reaffirmed that the repatriation of compatriots has been carried out through the Plan Back to the Fatherland promoted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, since 2018 and that today it is led by the official Anahís Arismendi.
