The Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, reported that she held a working meeting with the purpose of evaluating social care plans for the Venezuelan people.

The day was attended by the ministers of the People's Power for Education, Yelitze Santaella; University Education, Sandra Oblitas and Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, specified through her account on the social network Telegram.

During the meeting, the progress of the National Entry System (SNI) was reviewed, which ended its first phase with the allocation of study opportunities to 275,870 high school graduates, equivalent to 85.46% of the students who are part of this registry.

In addition, the agenda carried out by the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (BRICOMILES), throughout the national territory for the recovery of educational and health institutions, was addressed. In addition, the program designed for the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year was revised.

Another of the issues raised was the Epidemiological Surveillance Plan for the prevention and care of seismic smallpox, promoted by the Ministry of the People's Power of Health, after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak known as “monkey pox” as a public health emergency of international importance.

This initiative includes monitoring travelers from countries where cases of this outbreak are already registered. “Every action taken is to guarantee the well-being and peace of the Venezuelan people,” Jiménez said.
