Security forces apprehended three people for mass poisoning at a high school in Turén

Three people have been arrested in Portuguesa for allegedly being responsible for the poisoning of more than 100 students at the June 27 high school in Turin, a fact that occurred last Thursday, November 7, according to the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.

According to published information, Luis Medina, Secretary of Public Security in the region, reported that for the case, two minors, students of the institution, and a third person involved, 18 years old, were arrested, who participated in the preparation of “a cocktail that they placed in a plastic spray-type container and then began to spray on the educational unit.”

The official explained that this mixture caused massive fainting of students, who also experienced dizziness, vomiting, respiratory distress, eye and skin irritation and even seizures.

At a press conference, he specified that during the investigation process, it was possible to collect evidence of criminal interest, including photos “that demonstrate his criminal behavior, with firearms, using illegal substances and also an audio in which one of his friends mentions that the citizen was taking the blame to defend a third party.”

In addition, he said that the results of blood and clothing samples from those affected are expected, which were sent to the Directorate of Toxicology in Caracas, to determine what type of substances caused the students' mass poisoning.
