Senior men's volleyball returned to the international stage and won the bronze one in Brazil

The senior men's volleyball national team won the bronze medal in the Copa América Volleyball category, held in Betim, Brazil.
After several years of absence from international competitions, the Venezuelan team demonstrated its hierarchy and experience at the Divino Braga Sports Center, beating Chile 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 26-24) after losing the first set in an exciting match for third place, according to the Ministry of Sport press.
The Venezuelan captain, Willner Rivas, led the win with an outstanding performance, scoring 23 points. While on the Chilean side, Tomás Parraguirre was the most outstanding player with 18.
The road to bronze was not an easy one. Venezuela started the tournament with two losses to teams from Brazil and Argentina. However, they managed to recover with a resounding 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-21) victory over Peru.
In addition to the bronze medal, Rivas won the title of Best Point of the tournament, thanks to his 55 attacks, 7 blocks and 2 services, for a total of 64 points.
Venezuela company on the podium of the Copa América in Men's Volleyball to Brazil, who won the gold medal after beating Argentina 3-0 (25/21, 25/15, 26/24), who won the silver medal.
The Venezuelan team will now focus on ensuring their participation in the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo 2026, the Lima 2027 Pan American Games, and with their sights set on the ultimate goal of qualifying for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028.
