The vice-president of the Government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, assured that under no circumstances will the country join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

These statements were made by Vulin during the international conference “Long-reaching consequences of bombings for Serbian society and the formation of a multipolar world”.

He also recalled the far-reaching consequences of NATO's aggression, on the night of March 24, 1999, when the block began bombing Yugoslavia under the pretext of alleged ethnic cleansing in Kosovo.

“Those of us who are not very young can tell exactly where we were. Each one of us can describe in detail how we felt then (...) at that moment that was decisive for each of us,” he said.

He also added that for this reason “there is no political force or bribery capable of forcing Serbs to join NATO, at least for the life of our generation.”
