SIDOR ensures continuous production on the Wire Rod Train with key innovations

As part of efforts to strengthen the domestic industry, the Orinoco Siderurgical Company “Alfredo Maneiro” (SIDOR) has made significant progress in the continuous operation of the Wire Rod Train, thanks to a series of improvements implemented during 2024.

The president of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guiana (CVG), Héctor Silva, carried out an inspection of this operational area, where he highlighted the repairs carried out to the train furnace and the strategic adjustments in the production processes, which have made it possible to optimize efficiency and guarantee a high quality product that supports the value chain of various industrial sectors.

The recovery plan implemented at SIDOR includes safety, cleaning and order measures, to significantly improve the working conditions of the staff.

The Wire Rod Train provides essential materials for manufacturing products such as electrodes, nuts, tire meshes and barrels for household appliances.
