A total of 117 officials from the National Risk Management System, belonging to the G/J Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force, arrived in the country after the completion of fire mitigation operations in the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
These men and women were received by the Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Alm. Juan Carlos Oti Paituvi, who highlighted the exemplary performance of these officials.
“there were more than 42,000 hours of operations by our men and women. We support the extinction of more than 42,000 hectares of bulbs, fighting 80% of fires. Thank God, in November the rainy season begins in Bolivia, which will help with total extinction,” said Oti Paituvi.
In the same way, according to a press release from the Interior Ministry, he highlighted that the Bolivarian Government sent more than 10 tons of humanitarian aid and implements for officials to fight forest fires together with Bolivian firefighters; in addition, they rescued more than 100 species of wildlife and brought them to safety.
It should be noted that this mission lasted 46 days and involved the participation of two groups that traveled to help Bolivia.
