Sistema de Orquestas celebrates its 49th anniversary with a concert in Quebrada Honda

With the presentation of the Multigenerational Symphony Orchestra, composed of musicians from four generations of El Sistema, the 49th anniversary of the “musical jewel of Venezuela” was celebrated from the Simon Bolivar Hall of the Center for Social Action for Music, and broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, Venezuelans were able to enjoy a concert that demonstrates why The National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela is one of the great prides of what was “done in Revolution”.

As part of this celebration, the executive director, Eduardo Méndez, expressed the importance of: “To give continuity, to continue with the projects that our dear teacher Abreu had, which are visionary and very important plans such as The World System, to continue the growth, evolution and development of an organization that in itself feeds back on its own activities, absolutely dynamic, in constant transformation and change.

Currently, The System integrates 1 million 62,000 musicians, in 443 centers in the national territory, 2334 modules and 12 training programs that address different social demands through music.
