The Prime Minister of the Republic of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, expressed the importance of continuing the legacy of Commanders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro as founders of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).

During the XXVI Summit of ALBA TCP, he indicated that thanks to the thinking of these two Latin American giants, this body has become a social, political and economic alternative.

“20 years and we're still here. I am committed to ensuring that this legacy of Chávez and Fidel continues to shine a light in the dark,” he said.

He stressed that his country recognizes the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, who governs with the Venezuelan people, while condemning the imperial blockade against Cuba and the genocide in Gaza.

“We must continue to denounce the injustices that occur in the world and seek mechanisms to stop them,” he emphasized.
