South Korean social movements organized a mobilization to demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped by U.S. forces on January 3, after a military attack.
Los demonstrators gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy and used banners with the slogan “Free Maduro” and chanted phrases such as “They will not pass”.
Asimismo, they demanded respect for Venezuela and with slogans they assured the Caribbean nation “is not a threat, it is a hope”.
“They also denounced what they describe as a kidnapping that threatens the sovereign will of Venezuela; combined with a new voice of global pressure from the Asian continent out of respect for the integrity of the Venezuelan president,” reported the newspaper Última Noticias.
