With the resources of the first National Popular Consultation of the
year 2025, approved by President Nicolás Maduro, the kitchen and dining
areas of the Víctor Manuel Turmero Morales school, of the Cheila Silvia Community
Circuit, will be remodeled in the parish of Santa Teresa de Caracas.
This is the winning project of the elections held on February
2 across the country, which was inspected this Friday by the
Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez; the mayor of the Libertador municipality,
Carmen Meléndez, and community spokespersons.
Rodríguez emphasized that the level of organization and awareness in Caracas “is extraordinary”, because he congratulated the entire city team. He also pointed out that the second winning project is being financed by the mayor's office of Caracas, “an example that will be followed by all other mayors and governorates, as instructed by the president, for his part, he said that in Mèla capital the participation in the last consultation was exceeded.
“This means that every time there is a consultation, and more people
participate, the credibility that exists in the process is demonstrated;
that everyone is involved in the problems of the community, that of each
territory, of each communal circuit. That is the impact it has on the
territory, for you to decide what your
priority projects are,” he stressed.
Iván Flores, spokesperson for the community, assured that they are still
doing projects and evaluating what they will apply for in the next
National Popular Consultation, scheduled for April 27.
“It's good to have the support of the community, we
thank you and applaud yourselves, who were the ones who helped us
in that process, to make all of this a reality and that today we have the
institutions here, seeing the work that we all do,” he emphasized.
As a contribution to this community work, the Ministry
of Education and the Mayor's Office announced that they will support with furniture and equipment.
