A multipurpose court was delivered fully recovered in the La Cañada sector of the 23 de Enero parish in Caracas, as part of the 3rd anniversary of the National Anti-Drug Superintendency (SUNAD), an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP).

The activity was attended by the superintendent, MG Richard López Vargas and the Executive Director of the National Anti-Drug Fund (FONA), CC Héctor Brito, who reinaugurated the sports space “Orlando Pacheco”, so that children and young people from that town in Caracas have a place for healthy recreation.

At the event, the authorities were greeted by members of the cultural group for older adults “Abejitas del Panal”, who sang the song “Venezuela”; while sports kits including uniforms and soccer, basketball and volleyball balls were awarded to the different teams that live in the populous capital area.

López Vargas explained that each recovered space makes it possible to strengthen prevention factors based on sports and culture in communities, to create a habit of prevention against vices.

It should be noted that the “Orlando Pacheco” multipurpose court in the La Cañada sector of the parish of January 23 in Caracas, was restored as part of Vertex number 1 of the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission, which promotes comprehensive prevention for life, peace, peaceful and supportive coexistence among the Venezuelan population.
