The president of the Presidential Commission to Evaluate Habitability, Francisco Garcés, reported that this Monday, June 29, this Special Commission responsible for evaluating the habitability and condition of the infrastructures affected by the recent earthquakes, was deployed in Brisas del Aeropuerto, Urimare parish, La Guaira state, to analyze the conditions of these urban areas.

In his account on the social network Instagram, he specified that 22 towers were inspected using the traffic light evaluation system, developed by the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS) and the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), a tool that allows classifying the level of damage to buildings with a clear and understandable assessment.

He noted that this inspection, which was attended by about 20 engineers who are experts in structures, was also carried out in other sectors of the central coast and will soon be expanded throughout the national territory, especially in the seven most affected states.

The commission's technical team has the academic support of several institutions in the country, including the UCV, the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), the University of Carabobo (UC), the National Experimental Polytechnic University of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, which work hand in hand with governors and mayors.
