A total of 500 Keplerian telescopes to teach astronomy and other sciences to children and young people are being built by specialists from the National Center for Optical Technologies (CNTO).

The CNTO institution is attached to the Francisco J Duarte Astronomy Research Center Foundation (CIDA), and it is its qualified workforce that is responsible for building teaching instruments during a first phase of the project funded by the National Fund for Science, Technology and Innovation (FONACIT).

Quoted by a press release, the president of CIDA, Nomar Villa, assured that they are working on every detail of the refractor telescope to have a quality final product.

Keplerians have a 10X magnifying lens and these will be 30X, that is, three times better than the first. They will be given to each Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology in the country for astronomical observation and the training of personnel in the use of this tool.
