The students of the Fabricio Ojeda Endogenous Development Center paid a training visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for Electric Energy, as part of a conference organized by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) in Caracas.
The activity took place in the Renewable Energy Room, where participants were able to learn about the processes related to the production of electrical energy from solar and wind sources, the operation of photovoltaic panels and wind turbines, as well as the use of batteries and backup systems.
During the visit, experiences of community use of technologies based on alternative sources were also presented, with special emphasis on their application in priority areas.
The Ministry presented programs aimed at training children and young people, aimed at promoting responsible practices in energy consumption and at strengthening the link between science and the environment.
These actions are part of the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, a policy of the Bolivarian Government to stimulate interest in research and consolidate a culture oriented to sustainability, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
