Sucre Mission: Dream come true thanks to Commander Chávez (+anniversary)

On September 8, 2003, the Sucre Mission was born, derived from the Extraordinary Plan Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, an initiative of the Leader of the Revolution, Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.
The announcement was made by Commander Chávez on the occasion of the inauguration of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV), this plan that aimed to incorporate 400,000 high school graduates from all over the nation who were without a place in higher education.
“We must train these people from the Sucre Mission, with a moral sword, with the strength of steel, with supreme values. This Mission must be the spearhead of the Bolivarian Revolution, there is nothing more noble than education and with it the awareness of offering it to the people,” said Commander Chávez.
The Sucre Mission aims to facilitate access to and continuation of public, permanent, comprehensive, free and equal opportunities university education for all high school graduates who demand it.
This Mission represents a cutting-edge and socially relevant alternative for university education, aimed at the transformation, dissemination and creative use of knowledge.
The winners and winners in the Mission's 21 training programs, nine, are related to Productive Engines with the objective of implementing it for the country's development.
