To guarantee the sale of fish at fair prices during Easter, a national operation was deployed by the National Superintendency for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights (SUNDDE), whose employees began the operation at the Wholesale Car Market, located in Caracas.

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure compliance with the Organic Law on Fair Prices (LOPJ), as well as the official rate established by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) and the regulation of the prices of fish, a popular food during this religious season.

During inspections at the points of sale of fish products, it was verified that merchants comply with current regulations, and that prices are affordable for the Venezuelan population, especially during this Holy Week period.

On the other hand, the Bolivarian Government ensures the accessibility of fish for the Venezuelan people, through operations such as the Venezuela Eat + Fish Plan, which distributed more than five million 111 kilograms of fish protein as of April 14, through fair prices agreed under a scheme that guarantees profits for the fishing sector.
