Syria condemns Israeli attack in Damascus that left 7 fatalities

The Republic of Syria strongly condemned the brutal air attack carried out by the Israeli regime against defenceless civilians in a residential neighborhood in Damascus.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Israel launched an air attack with three missiles from the direction of the occupied Golan against one of the residential buildings in the Al-Mezzeh neighborhood of Damascus.

The attack adds to Israel's constant violations of international law and illustrates its insistence on expanding the circle of its brutal aggression against the countries and peoples of the region.

The Zionist aggression against Damascus caused an initial death of seven civilians, including children and women, and injured eleven people, in addition to causing significant material damage to private property in the surrounding area, the Syrian state news agency SANA reported.

“The need to take immediate steps to dissuade this Zionist entity from continuing with its purposes of shedding the blood of innocent people and sowing chaos in the region, and trying to drag it into a confrontation with disastrous consequences,” the statement said.
