This Thursday, the Syrian Arab Army (EAS) deployed its positions around the city of Hama, capital of the homonymous governorate (northwest), to avoid harm to the population in the face of fierce attacks by terrorist groups, who managed to enter the city despite suffering costly losses in troops and military equipment.

In a statement, the EAS explained the decision to withdraw to prevent the city from becoming a scene of fighting and save the lives of its inhabitants.

The text also describes as fierce the battles in which Syrian troops are participating to repel the attacks against the city launched by the terrorists of Hayat Tahrir al Sham and allied groups, who suffered heavy losses.
