Táchira airports resume flights to domestic destinations

The airports of the state of Táchira began operations today in domestic destinations and others ready to start flying starting tomorrow, January 5, said the general manager of the entity's airports, Dani Sánchez, in an interview with Unión Radio.

This official confirmed that this Sunday internal flights were resumed and airports opened their doors.

“Yesterday, around 8 p.m., we reactivated the airports and the renovated flights in their entirety. In the case of Táchira airports, flights from both San Antonio and La Fría and Santo Domingo,” he said.

He explained that “today, through San Antonio, three flights to the city of Caracas and one flight to the city of Barquisimeto. respectively 10, 11 in the morning, 5 in the afternoon, the one from Barquisimeto at 9 o'clock, without setbacks”.

Regarding the destinations that are operational today and those that will start tomorrow, he specified that “Santo Domingo tells me that the flight should be leaving without setbacks today at 210 in the afternoon, the Estelar airline, and at 5 in the afternoon the Rutaca airline, and a flight of two in the afternoon of Laser through La Fría”.

“At the national level, I have users who had been traveling from Maturín, Puerto Ordaz, Margarita with connections, Caracas, obviously Maiquetía. The domestic destinations are the same as those of Táchira airports, today Barquisimeto, Caracas, both through San Antonio, Santo Domingo and La Fría. Tomorrow there will be destinations for what is Barquisimetro as well and Valencia and Porlamar for Santo Domingo,” he added.

Dani Sánchez stressed that this Sunday there have been only a few delays at Maiquetía airport to other entities and they hope that it will normalize over the course of the day.
