The 66th edition of the Arturo Michelena Salon brings together more than 250 works

The Secretary of Culture of the Government of
Carabobo, Nathaly Bustamante, announced that after an arduous evaluation by the judging jury
, the selection process of the pieces and artists that
will participate in the call for the 66th Edition of the National Exhibition of Plastic Arts “Arturo Michelena” has ended.
According to information from Venezolana de
Televisión, Bustamante indicated that a total of 257 works and 260
artists from all over the country were selected. At the same time, he recalled that during the pre-selection process, 962 works
were submitted and submitted, received at
reception centers in the country, during the registration period between
February 19 and May 26, 2024 of this year.
He highlighted the positive result and the massive
response to this call by visual artists, sculptors,
photographers, audiovisual producers, artisans and creators in general, from
all over the country, who were motivated to present their pieces and
creations at the highest meeting of the plastic arts in the country.
He thanked the work of the judging jury
that selected the 257 works and 260 artists; the participation of
two artistic groups, and artists from Mérida, Zulia, Aragua, Carabobo,
Guárico, Lara, the Capital District, among others.
In addition to a wide variety of artists,
trends and artistic expressions from all over the country “who will come together at this
great festival of plastic arts”, he emphasized.
The names of the 260
selected artists can be consulted on the social networks and
digital platforms of the Secretariat of Culture of the Government of Carabobo.
