The president of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Philemon Yang, and former Prime Minister of Cameroon, called for unity and recalled an important warning about the conflicts that afflict the world.

In New York City, the United States (USA) concluded the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) with the participation of 17 countries, most notably Nicaragua in the Latin American regions.

Yang called for global unity and recalled an important warning about the conflicts that are afflicting the world.

He also called for the lifting of sanctions against countries such as Eritrea, Zimbabwe, Venezuela and Cuba and emphasized the need for a just global order that gives priority to peace, justice and the accountability of powerful nations.

He specifically referred to the possibility of the conflict in the Middle East turning into a global war, since he currently said it is known that Israel is planning a ground attack in Lebanon, so “we could be in a total war,” Yang added.

He ended his speech with a strong call for increased efforts to achieve a more stable and equitable international system.
